Thankfulness

In the midst of balancing a busy schedule, softball practices, a part-time job and school work, it is easy to loose hindsight of the things we should be thankful for! I know I am thankful for several things including my family, friends, health, and education. Often times I take for granted the simple things in life, and this leads me to always wanting more. we should be more appreciative of those small, almost inadequate things in our lives because once we learn to be truly thankful for what we have, our lives would become so much happier, guaranteed!
Just reflecting back on life, I'm really grateful for having silly friends that have stood by me through thick and thin. Who else would I hang out in school and speak with?! I'm glad I have a dynamic group of loud and quiet personalities that all accept me for me! (So cheesy I know)
Here's an homage to the crazy people I call my friends! Apologies in advance for the potato-quality that is a phone camera.

                    ^ #twinning? Yes!
                     ^ these weirdos
^ eating Pizza Pizza in McDonald's?!
        ^ it's a love-hate relationship

Suzy

Craving Spring

Spring is just around the corner, and I can't wait to feel the warm again! As much as I adore my L.L Bean boots, I am sick of winter and the freezing weather it ensues. Online shopping always puts me in the best mood so with that being said, I found some of the most darling things that would be great for spring!

Preppy Spring

Daniel Wellington watches are undeniably classic and a must-have in my books! However, they are quite pricey so I'll just continue to admire them online.

Chambray Button-downs are necessary to have in your closet! I own two of them and I love them to bits because they go with literally everything.

Chino Shorts specifically from J Crew have spring written all over them. They are durable, and are made of high quality fabric. I have this exact, specific shade of blue and they are adorable!

Jack Rogers are the definition of preppy. I have been keeping my eye on these sandals for quite a while now, so hopefully I can get a pair of them real soon!

Cambridge Satchel Bags have the most darling and classic purses. Like everything else on this page, it is quite expensive but if I ever got it, it would definitely be my "grown up purse".

Sincerely,
Suzy

P.S. Hopefully as the weather warms up, I can actually work on some real fashion posts soon!

Desserts for Dinner & Outfit!

Today in the spur of the moment, my friend (Bernita) and I decided to go to this cute little patisserie called Cafe Princess. It was very cute to say the least, with the floral printed couches and all sorts of girly embellishments. It was fun to get out after being a house hermit for so long during the winter break, the spontaneity of it made it so much fun!

^ the store is cute right?
^ a princess waffle, green tea slush & mango slush

^ there were literally these random girls dressed up like dolls! the funny thing was that they didn't even work there, might have been their hobby or something, haha!

^ 'tis me! (sorry for the poor phone quality)

^ three cheers for my monogrammed necklace

P.S. I might do some fun stuff tomorrow so stay tuned for a possible post!

'Tis the Season

I haven't posted much lately because I never know what to write about or say so I thought that I would ease the transition by putting up an outfit post. I am beyond excited for Christmas to say the least, and after watching 'Frozen' in theatres with my mom today (which by the way was amazing!) I'm looking forward to the holidays even more! It's just such a great, positive, and uplifting movie which is currently impacting my mood I guess. Anyway, this outfit you will see is inspired by the inconsistent Canadian weather currently, so in order to accompany this fluctuating weather I tend to lean toward warm, stylish, and comfortable outfits.

Choosing Happiness

Lately I have been trying to change my outlook on life to a more positive approach. It is easy to wake up each morning feeling bummed out and already upset at the world. Just thinking about all the schoolwork I know I'll receive that day to add onto my already giant load of homework is making me feel miserable however, just a slight tweak in attitude makes all the difference. Before I get out of bed I tell myself that "today is going to be a good day" and genuinely mean it, and to me it really helps. I begin to go about that day with a happier state of mind and not dread it as much any more.
It is undoubtedly difficult to maintain such positivity when life is not going the way you want it to unexpected low grades, falling behind in homework, approaching due dates with work that has yet to be started yet through perseverance it makes you a better person (or me at least). Life is all about balance, whether it's between work, school, and extra-curricular activities, it is important to limit and not overwork ourselves. We all know the saying "too much of anything is bad", and that includes schoolwork and even Internet; this goes without saying that by keeping harmony in all aspects of life we can really begin to appreciate the little things in life ultimately leading to happiness.
When the world is hard on you and you feel like giving up before you even begin, remember my favourite quote by Babe Ruth.

Suzy

Fall Wish List

Every once in a while I tend to wander over to various online shops just to browse at the beautiful fall-themed new arrivals. In order to control my shopping addiction, I put together four pieces that I have been lustfully eying online but do not have the heart to purchase, maybe one I will have acquired all these for my wardrobe.

Fall- Want List

Alex & Ani has the most adorable quintessential dainty bracelets. I would love to one day own the "S" initial one and my birthstone bracelet. How cute would it looked stacked together!
Gap has got to be one of my most favourite stores for basic and good quality pieces. Every time I  go to Gap I always make it a habit to wander over to the classic button-up section where the beloved gingham shirt is hung on a hanger to check if maybe just maybe it's on sale.
L.L.Bean boots are always adorned by many preppy girls, and me being the conformist I am love them too. I do agree that it's not everyone's cup of tea however I think they look really nice and not to mention very practical for the snowy Canadian climate.
Well until next time!

Sincerely,
Suzy
